ShikaTema: Sunrise

I got up, put my jacket on, and started to the park to meet her. Man, getting up this early is troublesome. But it was all worth it to see her there.

"Hi, Shikamaru," she said, waving,

"Hey, Temari. How are you doing, love?"

"Now that you're here, I feel great," she replied. "But let's not waste anymore time, shall we?"

I nodded and we sat down on a bench to watch the sunrise. Why else do you think we woke up this early? She snuggled up to me and rested her head on my shoulder, smiling at me. I smiled back and put my arm around her.

"So, Shika, was getting up this early too troublesome for you?" Temari asked, giggling. I'll admit, even I laughed at this.

"A little. But being with you makes all that trouble go away."

She blushed at this. "Aww, how sweet of you."

Just then, the sun started to rise, its orange glow cascaded across the sky. I held her close and said to her the words I never deny:

"I love you, Temari"

She smiled and moved closer to me. "I love you too, Shikamaru."

With that, we kissed passionately on the lips as the sun rose up into the sky, illuminating the Earth. I'll never forget this moment.

When our lips parted, we started to walk to Temari's house, holding hands along the way. When we got there, we looked eachother in the eyes, smiling.

"Thanks for such a great morning, Shika-kun."

"No problem, Tema-chan."

We kissed once more before she went inside her house. I began walking home, thinking about how lucky I was to have her in my life.
